Lo there again!

Day 2 of my life with the Fourie family .. not much happening on this side, but I’m getting used to the surroundings and starting to build a bond with everyone.

Thought I’ll share this photo with you all … I TOLD you all that there’s a soft side to Rory! I think he likes me already!

Greeting everyone! My name is Libby the labrador dog. I’m 6 weeks old, born on a farm in Ventersdorp, a small town in sunny South Africa..

This is my personal blog about my life and everything that ..uhmmm…comes with it! Today was my first day with my new family. They came to fetch me, and took me to their home in Pretoria (the capital city of South Africa).Not a bad bunch of people, but they have there “strange”  ways …like all humans do!

Not even 15 minutes after ariving at my new home, and I get dumped in a tub, and washed from head to ….uhmmm …TAIL TIP! Not that I mind though! Labradors just LOOooooove water! Apparently it’s for the fleas and ticks and just general hygiene .. I TOLD you the humans has got strange ideas!

I guess it’s all for a good cause .. Let me tell you a bit about my new family. First there is little Jaco … he’s suppose to be my main human buddy .. but we’ll see about that …they don’t understand that it’s ME that decides who my main human buddy is going to be! But for now, Jaco will be the one. Then there is Harold and Diane .. they are Jaco’s parents. Then there is also Lianne ..Jaco’s little sister. She’s the small one in the house … although I think at this point I can take that title!

Then there is Rory .. not like my mom and dad and the rest of the family back at the farm, but he’s not bad (he just pretends to be bad). I know deep inside there’s a mother dog that will come out at the right time. For a moment there I could’ve sworn it was my mother … she’s black as well! I’m sure we will become best of friends very very soon.

I almost forgot! Here’s Jaco .. I must admit, lying in his arms make me feel all fuzzy inside and man it feels so safe and relaxing! Sorry … the humans got me again with this photo .. taking this while I’m sleeping! Wait till the day I get hold of that cameras when THEY are sleeping!

So there you have it .. my first day with the Fourie family. This is just the beginning of my blog, and trust me, there’s going to be alot more stories in the future, with alot of photos!

If Harold comes in and post some posts sometime, please excuse him. These humans always thinks they can take over at any time, but I guess if he’s got something important to say, I will allow him to say it.
